at luxury literary magazines, we have very few criteria that you need to meet to be published with us. however, we do ask that you follow these guidelines as strictly as possible in order to cultivate a safe, equal environment for us all. we do not have differing guidelines per issue, just general rules for all interested parties to follow. see them below.
we ask that all art submissions must be submitted in a PNG or JPG format, and all works are adequately labelled. similarly, please submit your works as individual files if you submit more than once. we accept all forms of work as long as it fits under one of our four categories, listed above.
thank you for your collaboration! we look forward to seeing your exceptional work.
"positioned in or relating to the sky, or outer space as observed in astronomy."
"belonging or relating to heaven."
these are just two of the many definitions regarding the word celestial. in this issue, luxury literature invites you to create a piece that encapsulates how you would define it. is it a moment, a feeling? is it as surface-level as the stars winking down at you, or a twisted syzygy? or is it more? is it the claps of thunder as you shield yourself with blankets? the phases of the moon and the duality of the night? whatever it is, we want to hear it. whatever it is, we'll take it.
scraps of your past from torn up letters of love. the yellowing ticket stub discarded in your wallet. the pressed flowers in your journal, color faded into the silks of time. the lipstick stain on the tissue, which speaks to you of unearthly passions. the messy scrawl on a postcard, splotched with inky tears. the pleasure of a sin. the ripping nostalgia of an old photograph. the fall of rain in midnight fog. at luxury literature magazine, we ask you to spill those moments to us. the cruelty of a memory, as vividly visceral to you as if it had just been seconds ago. those moments that haunt you when stars dance over your vision. those moments that are eternally etched into your mind.
memories that will never, ever leave you. for better or for worse.
a red wax seal, cracked but never broken. the remnants of a love you can’t forget and wish you could. a stain of crimson on a white shirt, a reminder of a kiss that was as much poison as it was passion. the taste of a last kiss, bitter and sweet, branded into your mind with wax. the torn photograph, edges frayed with time, capturing a moment of betrayal that one can never erase. the smell of cigarettes and spilled wine, tangled with a threaded intention. the dark thrill of a secret kept and sealed in scarlet.
the study of mutual construction and destruction.
