Frequently Asked Questions

DM us on Instagram or reach out at luxuryliteraturemagazine@gmail.com if your question goes unanswered.

Submission periods vary throughout the year, though we aim to have two new issues out per year. We announce new calls for submissions on our website and social media, so we recommend following us for updates.

No! Our regular submissions are free.

Our response time for regular submissions is typically 4–6 weeks following the deadline, depending on submission volume. If you haven’t heard from us after eight weeks, feel free to reach out.

None, technically speaking. We are a creative space intended to uplift youth in the arts, although all literature lovers are of course welcome with us.

Absolutely. We have a collaboration form on our website which is intended for creative spaces or individuals to propose such ideas! You should hear back from us within a week of submitting your proposal provided it was successful.

Our founder and Editor-in-Chief, Kia Ayesha Sinan, generally fields such inquiries. You can contact her via the email listed above.

It would be easier to tell you what we're not looking for, so we'll do that. We dislike work that seems imitative, rushed, and - the cardinal sin of our creative space - generated. Any submissions that are thoughtful, attentive, and oddly grotesque are welcome.

Yes. Editor and blogger applications are periodically open on a rolling basis. These roles are voluntary positions and ideal for people who are passionate about literature and want to contribute to the magazine’s community. You can apply for this role directly through the Work With Us section on the website.

The General Editor plays a central role in shaping the intellectual and artistic quality of the magazine. Their primary responsibility is to review submissions, evaluating each piece against the rubric they are given. Editors recommend acceptance or rejection decisions and provide feedback to the contributors if requested.

The Blogger is responsible for producing one original article each month (approximately) on a topic of their choosing. While bloggers have creative freedom in selecting their subject matter, their work should align with the tone, intellectual standards, and aesthetic of Luxury Literature. Articles may include cultural commentary, literary analysis, personal essays, interviews, or reflective pieces, provided they maintain depth, originality, and clarity. Bloggers are expected to meet monthly deadlines, submit polished drafts ready for editorial review, and remain responsive to feedback or requested revisions. It is a highly flexible role.

Response times can take up to 8 weeks. Due to the number of applications we receive, only successful applicants will be contacted, so rejected applications may not receive a response.
